PURBALINGGA | PNN NEWS – The District Military Command Kodim 0702/Purbalingga held a community service activity together with residents in Desa Babakan, Kecamatan Kalimanah, Kabupaten Purbalingga, on Friday (20/2/2026). The activity served as a means to strengthen ties and to concretely realize the unity between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the people.
The event was led directly by Operations Officer Lettu Inf Sulistiyo Widodo and involved TNI personnel, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), volunteers, Scout members, and of course the residents of Babakan Village. The main focus of this community service was cleaning several public facilities in the village.
The spirit of mutual cooperation was strongly felt as personnel from Kodim 0702/Purbalingga and residents worked side by side to clean irrigation channels from weeds and accumulated mud. In addition, they also cleared the roads leading to public facilities that are frequently used by the community.
At the location, Lettu Inf Sulistiyo Widodo explained that the activity reflects Kodim 0702/Purbalingga’s concern for the environment as well as public facilities used daily by residents.
“This is a tangible manifestation of the unity between the TNI and the people. We want to always be present in the midst of the community, not only in the context of defense duties but also in social activities like this. Cleaning the irrigation channels is important to ensure smooth agricultural water flow, while improving access roads to public facilities is aimed at enhancing residents’ comfort,” he stated.
Residents showed great enthusiasm throughout the activity. They worked hand in hand with TNI personnel in high spirits. This strong collaboration made what could have been a heavy task feel lighter and allowed the work to be completed quickly.
At the same location, Babakan Village Head Wisnu Widodo expressed his highest appreciation to Kodim 0702/Purbalingga.
“On behalf of the village government and all residents of Babakan Village, we extend our deepest gratitude. We hope this togetherness will continue to be well maintained in the future,” he said.
